Built on one principle.
Every business deserves accurate books.
Lisa Hamlin launched Book It Accounting in 2017 with one guiding principle: every business owner — regardless of size — deserves accurate books and an accountant they can actually reach. She had watched too many small business owners get burned by firms that didn’t answer the phone, made errors that went uncorrected, and left clients scrambling at tax time. She built something different.
Book It Accounting runs on accuracy, responsiveness, and plain-language communication. Clients don’t get a callback form and a five-day wait. They get Lisa — directly, consistently, and with the financial expertise to back it up. Every client works with Lisa personally. There is no junior associate handling your file, no rotating staff member who doesn’t know your history, and no automated system standing between you and a real answer to your question.
Sixteen years.
Rare depth.
Lisa brings 16 years of accounting experience across small business, corporate, and government sectors. Her background spans the full range of what small business owners need — from monthly bookkeeping and tax preparation to forensic investigations and federal contract compliance.
Her forensic accounting degree from Franklin University is not a general accounting credential with a specialization added on — it is a degree program specifically built for investigative and compliance work. Most local accounting practitioners do not hold this credential.
